Content Credentials

Check where an image comes from.

Every image exported from Reica says that it was made with AI, and by whom. Anyone can check it for free, with public tools and Reica's certificate below. No account needed.

In every exported file

Three markings, one image.

Built for the EU AI Act, Article 50, and the Commission's Code of Practice on marking AI-generated content.

AI metadata

An IPTC and XMP statement that the image was generated with AI and made with Reica, readable by any metadata tool.

Content Credentials

A C2PA manifest signed by Reica and time-stamped, describing in general terms how the image was made.

Invisible watermark

A mark in the pixels that still identifies a Reica image after its metadata has been removed.

How to check

Three steps.

  1. 1
Open the image in a Content Credentials viewer

Drop it on contentcredentials.org/verify, or from a terminal run c2patool image.jpg.

  2. 2
Look for Reica as the signer

The signer reads CN=Reica Content Credentials Signer, O=Reica, with a valid signature and a timestamp.

  3. 3
Match the issuer with Reica's root certificate

Compare it with the certificate and the fingerprint below, published only on getreica.com.

Reica's certificate

The root that signs every image.

Root CAReica Content Credentials Root CA, valid until 2 November 2036
Signing certificateReica Content Credentials Signer, valid from 5 November 2026 to 4 November 2028, renewed every two years under the same root
SHA-256 fingerprint of the root8E:D4:3F:71:53:F7:83:B6:B4:F7:5E:B1:2B:F1:A1:72:40:24:75:29:F5:F1:7E:20:8B:2D:9C:F3:4D:17:55:AD

Check the file after downloading: openssl x509 -in reica-content-credentials-root.crt -noout -fingerprint -sha256 must print the fingerprint above.
